About the Role:

We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Mortgage Loan Originator to join our growing team at DML. In this role, you’ll be the front line of our mortgage business—connecting with clients, building referral networks, and providing top-tier mortgage solutions for homebuyers and refinancers.

You’ll work with a collaborative and high-performing team that supports your growth, respects your craft, and helps you stay focused on what you do best: originating loans.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Proactively build and expand your referral network through coffee meetings, lunches, and happy hours.

  • Represent DML at networking events and host or attend BD events to create meaningful relationships.

  • Use a multi-step sales approach to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.

  • Schedule and conduct 1:1 meetings with agents, brokers, and other potential partners.

Relationship Management

  • Nurture your database of past clients and partners using a structured and intentional follow-up system.

  • Execute regular "touches" such as check-in calls, social media engagement, events, and drip campaigns.

  • Leverage DML's reporting tools to identify growth opportunities and maintain compliance.

Mortgage Sales

  • Guide clients through the full mortgage process: application, document collection, loan presentation, and pre-approval.

  • Communicate proactively and clearly with clients and referral partners throughout the process.

  • Stay current on mortgage products and present tailored solutions for each client’s needs.

  • Trust your team to handle operations so you can focus on building and closing business.

Business Management

  • Manage your time efficiently—focus on the important, not just the urgent.

  • Set and exceed production goals with DML’s support systems and coaching.

  • Represent DML with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Incorporate DML’s mission, vision, and values into your daily work.

What You Bring:

  • Proven track record in mortgage loan origination or sales.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Desire to grow personally and professionally in a supportive team environment.

  • Knowledge of mortgage industry standards, compliance, and loan products
