Job Summary:

The Mortgage Closer is responsible for managing residential loan files from “clear to close” through funding. This role ensures all loan documents are accurate, compliant, and completed on time while coordinating with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and internal teams to achieve a smooth and timely closing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and balance closing disclosures and closing documents in compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines

  • Coordinate closing dates and funding with title companies, attorneys, and loan officers

  • Ensure all underwriting conditions are satisfied prior to closing

  • Review title commitments, insurance policies, and closing statements for accuracy

  • Communicate closing instructions and requirements to all parties involved

  • Verify loan terms, fees, and figures prior to funding

  • Ensure documents are properly executed and returned for post-closing

  • Maintain accurate records and update loan status in the loan origination system

  • Resolve closing issues and discrepancies promptly

  • Adhere to regulatory requirements including TRID, RESPA, TILA, and company policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage closing, escrow, or title services preferred

  • Strong knowledge of residential mortgage loan processes and closing regulations

  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass or similar)

  • Experience with Non-QM loan products and HELOCs is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple files and meet tight deadlines

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience
